• In this project, we weave napkins and explore four and eight-shaft huck.

  • The pattern covers similarities and differences between huck spot, huck lace, and hybrid huck.

  • On four-shafts, the huck covers the full surface. On eight-shafts, the lace is in a diamond pattern with plain weave around the edges.

  • By alternating colors in the warp, you can achieve different color effects.

  • The suggested colors for this project are (left to right in photo below) Limette #8267, Vert Fonce #1152, Bleu #4272, and Mauve #5153.

  • All of the samples pictured have the same warp (Limette and Vert Fonce). Weft colors are Limette, Vert Fonce, Bleu, and Mauve. This project lends itself well to exploring a wide range of weft colors.
