The Project
In this project, we weave napkins and explore four and eight-shaft huck.
The pattern covers similarities and differences between huck spot, huck lace, and hybrid huck.
On four-shafts, the huck covers the full surface. On eight-shafts, the lace is in a diamond pattern with plain weave around the edges.
By alternating colors in the warp, you can achieve different color effects.
The suggested colors for this project are (left to right in photo below) Limette #8267, Vert Fonce #1152, Bleu #4272, and Mauve #5153.
All of the samples pictured have the same warp (Limette and Vert Fonce). Weft colors are Limette, Vert Fonce, Bleu, and Mauve. This project lends itself well to exploring a wide range of weft colors.
