Shipping

What are shipping costs?

Shipping anywhere in the US is a flat $9.75.

I live outside of the continental US, how much will shipping cost?

Shipping outside of the continental US is charged based on actual cost. You will receive a separate invoice for shipping after your order is placed. Please call or email if you would like a shipping quote.

A rough guide is around $15 to ship 8 oz or under, $23 to ship 8 oz to 2 lbs. Over 2 lbs there is a large jump but then it rises slowly.

How do you ship?

Most items are shipped USPS, but occasionally UPS or Fed-Ex, depending on costs. Floor looms are drop shipped directly from the company and are generally shipped freight. If shipping method is important to you, please note that on your order or contact me directly.

How long will it take for my order to ship?

All efforts will be made to ship your order within two business days. If timing is important, please note that on your order or contact me directly.

Certain items will be dropshipped directly from the company. This information, as well as shipping estimates is noted in the product description.

Weaving

I have never woven before but I think I would like to try. Where do I start?

The Learn section of the website is filled with great information for new and experienced weavers.

You can started with information on looms, weaving accessories, yarn, and learning to weave.

What kind of yarn should I buy to weave with?

Our Choosing Yarn Buying Tips is a great place to start for an overview of the yarns we carry and what they work well for.

REFUNDS

OOPS. Can i cancel an Order?

Yes. But please review any available special directions before you place your order.

If an order is cancelled, we reserve the right to charge a 10% service charge to cover vendor charges.

Special orders (items that are not generally in our shop) and drop shipped looms cannot be cancelled.

There are no cancellations on club orders or digital downloads.

Any can cancellations need to occur before an order is shipped. After shipment, it is handled as a return.

There is a 20% service fee for refunded gift certificates.

Do you take returns?

There are no returns on books, patterns, or digital media. Yarn ordered directly from the shop can be returned, but customer is responsible for paying all shipping charges and a 10% restocking fee.

Other Things

Can I come visit your store?

The shop is currently open by appointment. We are hoping to have open hours starting in fall, 2023. We are around and we will welcome you, just let us know first.

Can you tell me more about Vermont Weaving School?

Because Vermont Weaving Supplies has been so successful (and time consuming) Vermont Weaving School is now closed.
